We understand the necessity of this idea. Yoruba literature is clearly underrepresented. While there have been concerted efforts of concerned individuals to promote Yoruba literature, the desired result is still out of reach. This is why we decided to walk the talk, go beyond whinning about the state of things when we can get things done; in the spirit of properly representing Yoruba literature in our own little way.
Lítíréṣọ̀ Yorùbá is a literary project we were long overdue for. It is the go-to digital platform for Yoruba literary studies we never knew we needed.

Lítíréṣọ̀ Yorùbá is a digital repository dedicated to the preservation, analysis, and celebration of Yoruba literature in its diverse forms. Our mission is to document and make accessible over 1,000 Yoruba literary works. Our focus include literary title profiles, author spotlights, study resources, cultural documentation, language insights, and literary news and events. Bí a kò bímọ rí, a kò ha rọ́mọ lẹ́hìn adìẹ?
Others have shown us what it means to preserve their cultural memory. The blueprint is everywhere. We cannot claim helplessness when examples abound. We may not have started early, but we can still start now. This is our moment to act.
